A cute story of a small mouse astronaut, first earth creature to Mars!
Being small can have its advantages!

I didn't really care for this book. I like the idea that the 'smallest' person/being can make the biggest impact. But the story is a little strange, there are three named characters that are never pictured or explained, just brought up on one spread and never mentioned again, and the art does nothing for me. Which is a bummer, because I love sci-fi and science and space, so I was excited for a sci-fi picture book for storytime. I don't think I'll be using this one though.

Meteor the Mouse travels to mars in this fun and engaging story with lost of bright illustrations of a diverse group of astronauts. As an adult, I especially enjoyed the informational pages after the story. Definitely a good choice for a preschool story time on space, mice, adventure, or jobs (what does an astronaut do?).
