Hughes has left me utterly stunned with The Sin of Kissing You. It’s also left me desperately needing the final installment of this trilogy.

The second part of Bay and Dare’s saga takes place in the month during Dare’s training camp and right before when Bay is supposed to be going to start a new job as an accountant even though it’s not really what she wants for herself. When they first reconnect, Bay is still so upset with Dare for how their relationship ended at the end of high school four years earlier. Slowly, they sort of get back together. Dare is so desperate to get Bay back, and she’s hesitant to say the least. Eventually, Bay gets a chance at her dream of becoming a musician, but she needs Dare to be able to sing publicly. So, despite not really wanting to give Dare a chance, she still strings him along so she can do what she needs to do to make her dream a reality. Along the way, we find that she does have real feelings for him and still cares. However, by the end of the book, their story hits another major and heartbreaking setback.

Hughes has done it again with these characters. They are so endearing and I cannot wait to find out how their story ends. What I liked about Bay and Dare is that I truly felt invested in them on their own and not just as a couple. I’m just as into finding out whatever their futures hold as I am in knowing how they find each other again. Hughes did such a good job that I found myself putting the book down for a couple days before finishing it, because I knew I’d be upset when it ended. To me, becoming that invested in a story is a sign that the book is well done and worth reading.

The hard part about a trilogy is waiting for the rest of the story, and after that ending I need to know what happens. I’m so completely into Bay and Dare’s story, and I can’t wait to see how their story ends!

I definitely liked the first and third book better. These two continuously say that they don’t work together, but then suddenly end up in bed together and then they have a chance of being together? Also I feel like the characters make some very stupid decisions without thinking things through.
So far I like the third book way better, but we’ll see.

Does anyone who read The Sin of Kissing You feels like Keyton being taken for granted by Bay? I have a strong defense against Bay's character. Miss Hughes sadly can not make me feel even a tiny sympathy toward Bay.

The whole book, from beginning to end, it focusing on how Bay being rama queen, selfish, nagging and selfish. She took advantage of Keyton. I am amaze how Keyton can balance his football career and servicing Bay every whimpy needs. I do not understand the reason why Miss Hughes build Bay to become like this.
BTW, the audiobook is 9 hours long. I have to take several short break to calm my nerves.

Only Keyton manage to raise my rating to 3. But that is also barely.

While I loved the first book in the trilogy and was waiting for Bay & Dare's reunion, it was quite a disappointment. I liked all the pain, angst and emotions this book brought out but I think Bay was too selfish and self absorbed for my liking. The way Dare was constantly trying to correct his mistakes and just wanted a real second chance with her but Bay just used him to get over her fears and lead him on, only to leave him in the end without even trying to make their relationship work was cowardly. Normally, I love it where the male mc has to grovell but here I felt really bad for Dare. He truly had nobody and his only anchor was Bay but it was releif that he atleast reconnected with Knox. Anyway I'm too pissed at the way this book ended but I'm going to read the next one to get some closure and hope that Bay would recognise her mistakes.
