A very thorough look at the history of medicine through the lens of unwell women. It slipped into a bit too much of a chronological account of medicine through time which lost me for a while, but I really enjoyed the author’s memoir moments throughout about her experience with Lupus, and related to the experience of doctors dismissing serious pain symptoms. A worthwhile read!

This is super well researched and academic which I appreciate, but it was just far too wordy for what I was looking for.

Unwell Women is very educational but it is a hard read. I learnt quite a lot but maybe would have liked more about modern day.
