I enjoyed the last one and was caught up in the wildness of a Marvel Sisters of Battle comic (honestly, I'm still reeling, not least for the American English describing the Adepta Sororitas as honoring the Emperor, rather than honouring him. But ghis issue started cooking!

The opening flashback and narration about what Ghita does and doesn't remember of her life before the schola was really well done and made something thoughtful and well executed from a classic trope.

Feels like the series is finding its legs and I look forward to the rest. Wish there was more!

Also, I have to say how much I appreciate the diversity of the Sisters. Games Workshop and Black Library have long had an extremely pasty with the occasional racist, more often than not orientalist character or group, and there were parts of the fanbase that GW are at least partially responsible for who lost their minds at the Black Ultramarine on the cover of Dawn of Fire: Avenging Son by Guy Haley back in 2020. Things have slowly been getting better, despite the seemingly oblivious and uncaring about the decidedly fashy propaganda posters for the return of Guilliman, bud this comic is knocking it out of the park.
