“Can you die from a broken heart?” I hated this book. Loved it, but hated it. Everyone made me mad and the ending? I’m pissed.

I debated between a 2.5 or 3 starts on this one. I bumped it up to three stars because I liked the authors writing style and I did like most of the characters. What I hated was the main male character. He was the absolute worst and someone you wouldn't want your daughter or friends to date. Destructive for the sake of being destructive. I couldn't understand why the author hated her main female character as she was gaslighted, ghosted, manipulated and emotionally abused.
Then the ending came out of nowhere with no lead to the conclusion. Weird considering how long this book was. I don't see finishing up this series because if these two end up together, then that is a waste of my time for the main female character not to grow at all.

The main characters were toxic and it felt like the plot never went anywhere because all they did was repeat their toxic behaviors the whole book. And I guessed who he cheated with early on.

I really really wanted to love this book. But…guys just.., use your words??? The concept of this book is so interesting x but the miscommunication trope really had me frustrated with the characters. BJ and Magnolia have some kind of toxic friendship/relationship and that’s the ENTIRE book. The fact that he wouldn’t share the very thing he did to ruin their relationship in the first place was SO INFURIATING. And the second chances time after time made no sense. I don’t really see myself continuing the universe but who knows.
