So if you look at the dates it says I started reading in 2017, that’s because I started reading this book in 2017 and never finished it! I was about halfway through when I got distracted by something else. I just recently finished my re-read of Percy Jackson, so I decided to give the spin-off series another shot. A couple of days ago I started re-reading this from the beginning and I had a great time! I loved it and I’m excited to read the rest of the series. (I actually feel more excited to read this series than I have to read anything in a long time!) :)

I'm so glad I reread this! I actually forgot a lot of the plot lol. I love how the different chapters are from different perspectives because it makes the book so much more exciting and impossible to put down since pretty much every chapter ends on a cliff hanger. Leo's chapters are my favourite because he's just so funny. I can't wait to reread the next one!!

A good starting point to a new series. It was cool to see the old characters, and to meet the new ones. Out of the new cast I think I like Leo the most, Jason wasn’t as bad as he’s cracked up to be, but he isn’t Percy. I am spoiled to Olympus and back for this series, and most of Rick riordans work tbh, but I was still able to enjoy this book. I’m really looking forward to the next one bc OMG who could be the Son of Neptune??? Idk we’ll have to see

This book is really amazing, the new type of narration gives some extra points to the author, pretty much keeping me hooked to this book.

Stepping back into the world of Percy Jackson using 3 new characters and end on a MASSIVE plot twist? WOW
Riordan has 100% done it again with the first in this series ~ I cannot wait to start the next book ‘The Son of Neptune’
++++ the addition of the god breakdown at the end of the book was so cute and helpful!
