If you're reading this I love but I just didn't like you during reading this book

Nothing against Jason but he’s not Percy, even on reread. I did enjoy catching so many little nuances and references this time around though and it has a lot of parallels to the lightning thief which is fun

I really liked all the characters and their individual plot lines that all strengthen each other. I love Leo, and I like that you get to read from all of their perspectives

A classic!! Always a bit of whiplash leaving Percy behind but what a great expansion of world building and great characters!

New series by Rick Riordan following pretty much the Hero's Journey in this new quest. The books are slightly more YA (Riordan taking into account his original Percy Jackson readers will have grown a bit) and the romance is a bit more powerful.
This man knows how to plot a book to make stakes rise and rise and it up rising them even more, so setting up next book.
I get it's for kids, so the clues didn't have to be as subtle as in a mainstream book, but sometimes it annoyed me he had to let the clues in slowly, too slowly I got mad at him for not saying things clearly.
Characters are relatable and it's a great thing some of the originals from Camp Half Blood make brief appearances (such as Annabeth or Thalia) and that there is a lot of questions about where is Percy (though it should be easy to guess soon in the book for a clever reader - that's what I was referring about the subtle or not so subtle clues for instance).
