Bellísimo cuento, me resultó tan familiar, tan cercano a las Intermitencias de la muerte de Saramago, cómo si del libro se hubiera hecho una adaptación.
Precioso, las ilustraciones son hermosas y el cuento me encantó.

I think it's a great children book about death. It doesn't give a lot of answers, but who even has them? At least this book can spark a conversation. I liked it quite a lot, very beautiful illustrations, even though very simple.

I would call this a picture book with cause. It's not something I would read to my preschooler (or any child, really) just out of the blue. But... in the event of the death of a pet or a family member I do think that this story about how Death gently stalks us all would benefit the discussion.

My favorite element is Death's wardrobe, which reminds me of my Great-Grandma. His big skull head, combined with the plaid dress-like garment make for a not-particularly-fearsome creature, and the style of illustrations conveys the gentleness of both Duck and Death.

A (naturally) dark book, the unique illustrations and story of a duck's awareness and gradual acceptance of death is simply and gently told. There is no moralizing, no theology, simply the facts, though it is not without tenderness.
