t turns out Miss Reus is a popular romance author and this is my first read. Under His Protection is typical security romance novel. As usual it involved stalker.
After finished listening to the audiobook, I am not that impress. I do not hate it either. In my opninon it is so so book. Luke warm. Mediocre. I want more of everything. The plot, the chemistry between the character, more drama.
Overall this is OK read.

Katie Reus's Red Stone Security series really hits the spot for me. Under His Protection by Katie Reus is the 9th book in the series, sucked me in immediately. While the plots in this series are very similar, I never can get enough.
Under His Protection is classic Katie Reus, and that's a great thing. While I couldn't put this one down, it hasn't stuck with me either.This review was originally posted on Quinn's Book Nook
What I Liked:
- Ivan! I don't think I will ever get enough of strong, alpha-heroes, who are also kind and respectful of women. And who also understand that women are strong themselves. And that is Ivan.
- I thought it was pretty adorable how Ivan and Julietta had both been admiring each other from afar.
- I loved how Ivan immediately stepped in when he realized that someone was harrassing Julietta. Those protective dudes, just get me every time.
- I respected Julietta a lot. She's worked hard making her Lingerie shop a success, and she's proud of herself. I also liked that when she thought Ivan was only into no-strings attached relationships, she wasn't interested.
- I also loved how Ivan wanted to prove to her that he wanted something more lasting with her.
What I Struggled With:
- While I love this series so much, the plots are all really similar, and once I'm finished with the book, I can't really remember anything about the story. And I can't remember which book was which.
Final Thoughts:
Under His Protection is classic Katie Reus, and that's a great thing. While I couldn't put this one down, it hasn't stuck with me either.This review was originally posted on Quinn's Book Nook

This is my favorite of the Red Stone Security series, I think.
Under His Protection was a quick book for me to grab up to read because I love the Red Stone Security series, but it was very, very hard for me to put it down once I started reading it.
Ivan meets Juliet one day while working when he comes into her lingerie shop with someone he is protecting. Then they come into contact with each other in the next few months and while Ivan steals looks at Juliet, she gets the feeling that he doesn’t like her. Julieta has been warned that Ivan is a player, so that makes her hesitant to trust him in the beginning, but when Ivan discovers that Julieta has a stalker he uses that as his opportunity to help protect her and to admit to his feelings for her. Protecting her causes them to wind up under the same roof and that causes the sparks to fly between them. Ivan will do what it takes to save her life and in the process prove to Julieta that she belongs in his life for good.
Julieta is a strong woman who tries to everything on her own and that includes trying to take care of the stalker by herself. She is building her business from the ground up by herself and doesn’t think that she needs any help. The scenes with the stalker were very intense and kept you on the edge of your seat and hooked to see what would happen next.
Even though this is the 9th book in the Red Stone Security series, it can be read as a stand- alone book and you will not feel lost or confused.

Under His Protection was a fun, quick, light read. I don't know why, but I love reading books with big, tough security guys. They are just really entertaining reads normally, and this one was no different.
Julieta owns her own lingerie shop. She has worked hard to get to where she is today and she loves it. Yes, she works a lot, but she finally seems to have some time for family and friends.
Ivan is the strong, silent type. He first meets Julieta when he is working. He is assigned to guard Mina, a girl who ends up befriending Julieta as they both have other friends in common. After that first night he can't keep his eyes off her. He wants her, but is also a bit afraid of her. He has never wanted more than one night with someone, but he knows Julieta would be different. She could break him. Even though Ivan is infatuated with her, Julieta doesn't realize this. She thinks he is super hot, but that he hates her. He always glares at her or ignores her so she has tried to forget about him.
When Julieta finds herself with a stalker who is escalating quickly, Ivan jumps in to help out. Immediately he doesn't want to let her out of his sight until they catch whoever is stalking her. He works hard to try and figure this all out and keep her safe. At the same time they both get closer and it was intense! So hot! So much fun! I loved it.
One of the main things I really enjoyed about this story was the quick pace. There is not a lot of time spent setting everything up. You get a quick intro to our two main characters, then pretty suddenly you get to the meat of the story - the stalking case and these two being thrown together. I was enjoying it so much and such a quick pace I got to the end and thought no! I am not ready for this to be over yet! Good thing there are still plenty more books in this series to read.

I've enjoyed each book in the Redstone Security Series and this book was no exception. Ivan Mitchell is a bodyguard for Redstone and guards Mina. She visits her friend, Julieta's, lingerie shop. Ivan is very attracted. When Julieta finds out she has a stalker, Ivan appoints himself her bodyguard. Of course, Redstone is supportive because Julieta is friends with some of them. Ivan understands that he has to prove himself to Julieta because of his history of short-term relationships. He takes this very seriously. I found him to be endearing. The way he cared for and protected Julieta was lovely. And, as usual, the book packed a great deal of heat. Very enjoyable.

Such a sexy read. I knew after reading the first few pages I was going to enjoy this story. First, our heroine is sassy, and sexy. 2nd, our hero is well, just plain sexy. Add in a crazy stalker, an overprotective family, and chemistry that literally leaps off the page, how can you go wrong? I know this is part of the Red Stone series, but I also like that you don't have to read the previous books to enjoy the relationship that develops between Julietta and Ivan. It's nice catching glimpses of some of the characters from previous books, but they don't overwhelm the story which is nice as well. Score another hit for Katie Reus.
