A sweet, quietly blossoming romance between a divorcee and a younger man. Could have used another chapter or two to tie up subplots.

Sonja, rebuilding her life and a business after divorce.
Atlas, 9 years younger and owner of his own business. He still needs to figure things out in life.
The reasons and reservations that Sonja had to establish a relationship with Atlas felt real and sensible. Great characters that find love in spite of their age difference and societal judgement.

I initially picked this up for Blackoweenathon 2022 but this is not in the slightest halloweenathonish. It's straight romance sprinkled with a little magic.

Sonja is amazing!! A recently divorced woman with two kids, Sonja wants to start her own herbalism business. Her friend recommends Atlas James' entrepreneurship class and forgets to mention just how hot he is. Good thing Atlas takes an immediate interest in Sonja and her business.

I loved their chemistry and how the ex-husband and spiritualism were handled. Tasha L. Harrison made me feel all the good feelings, and I couldn't recommend this story highly enough!!

I cannot wait to read the next one in this series.

Thoroughly enjoyable! As slice as life as you can get. While it wasn’t as focused on dual character arcs like I usually expect from romance, this book is a master class in fleshing out side characters and making the world feel immensely rich and alive. I was always gripped. Also an ample amount of steaminess

"I love you any and every way you’ll let me, Soni.”

Sonja is freshly divorced and ready to kick start her new business by signing up for entrepreneurial classes taught by the handsome, broad shouldered, and much younger Atlas. Their sizzling attraction is instantaneous & simmered off these pages!

This story taught me about Gullah traditions and how Sonja’s beauty product business centers around bringing those practices to life by utilizing holistic medicine from recipes passed down through generations. We get a few behind the scenes snippets of Sonja gathering ingredients and mentions of product creation which I thought was fun to see.

The way this man would do any and everything she asked of him, without question. It was beautiful to see Atlas bring out the confidence in Sonja again that got left behind in her marriage. Atlas is really just a walking green flag with shoulders big enough to dry your tears, provide comfort to unload your burdens, & will lend support for those knees as he worships 🤭🙏🏼

Sonja’s familial relationships was one of my favorite parts aside from the romance. The next two books follow Soni’s sisters & I’m excited to read all about their journeys!

i really loved the older view of a romance, a newly divorcee who finally goes after what she wants and meets a younger man at the same time.

the banter between Sonja and Atlas, and the smut are exceptional, and i loved the cultural aspect of the book as well as the beliefs and traditions.

it was so sweet to see Sonja let go of her fear and embrace love and confidence
