Rhythm of War, Part 1 and 2
Easily my favorite book of the series (together with Words of Radiance). I loved this so much, I...
It is not as action packed as previous books, but that worked perfectly for me. And it's probably the first time that I didn't mind the length of the book. I was so invested in every single story line, there were no parts that dragged for me. I loved all the character interactions, dialogues, growth. I loved how every little scene helped you to understand the characters and their motivations and how it prepared you for the grand, epic and emotional finale(s).
I also loved the themes. Mental health and especially depression are a huge part of the plot. And the way it is described, explored and handled is done SO well. And so many other themes I can't discuss because of spoilers. I loved how a huge part of the book takes place in this isolated location with a spy/underground rebellion story. I loved the Shadesmar parts this time, because it was basically a trial situation.
The epilogue left me confused again, and I'm afraid of what book 5 will bring. Why is it still a year until it comes out?
