I am still on the fence about this series. While it's...clever, I guess? There is obviously something that makes me want to KEEP reading, but also something that says if I stopped right now, I wouldn't really be missing out on anything. But, the art is pretty fantastic. The plot itself, while maybe not original, is interesting.

So it turns out that Yukine is kind of horrible. Their situation is sad, but he’s making some very bad decisions so far. Yato is turning out to be slightly scary with a bad past, but he’s smarter than he plays to be. I’m intrigued by him.

I just plain like Hiyori. I’m not even sure why, but her character interests me a lot, and I like her. Maybe I relate to her or something. And I love how she just leaves her body behind—that’s brilliant.

We got some added depth here for Yato and Yukine, and some nice insight and thoughts on their situation—like the fact that Yukine is actually dead. We met a few other gods, and an enemy of Yato’s.

I like the new friends we met, and am enjoying the character development on everyone. Hiyori is starting to actually develop feelings for Yato, and I’m interested to see where that goes. The comedy in this series is top-notch, and I like that it can separate the humor and serious so well.

The ending looks to be starting something else, and I’m just overall interested to see what happens next. I’m excited to read more.
