Another spine chilling collection of short stories from the horror master himself, although some of the stories are more supernatural thrillers than all out horrors but King writes both genres brilliantly. If you going to read this read the Mist first, all I'm saying is it will haunt you...

Has a few all time greats in there (The Mist, The Jaunt, and The Raft) but most of these are just fine and a couple are even forgettable. Might be my least favorite short story collection so far.

With the Mist, the Raft and the Jaunt it has some of the best stories by Stephen King. The quality is not consistent all the way but when it's good, it's brilliant.

Many of the stories were interesting: my favorite was The Jaunt. I think there were many unnecessary descriptions of fat people throughout the stories. It didn’t seem to matter what it was about, but there would be a comment about how disgusting fat people were, which kind of took me out of the story.

This is probably King's meanest collection of short stories but still has some really great ones.
