Keri Lake has done it again!! I absolutely loved Master of Salt & Bones. The dark, suspense, intrigue, and emotional pull I've come to expect in Keri's books are in here, and she weaves a tale that will pull you in from the very beginning. This doesn't let up until the end! On top of a great story, interesting plot, the cast of characters in this book will have you turning page after page. But be careful, not everything is as it seems and the steam will leave you needing a fan. 4.5 stars and I highly recommend you one-click this book today!

The first half was better than the second half. I enjoyed the gothic vibes but it lost me at the end with the mafia vibes.
I hate the age gap trope 🔻

This book has been on my kindle for a good year and a bit and I’ve finally read it, I found that it was good.
A good premise, interesting characters and good writing. Some sentences seemed very poetic as well. Yet I felt like this book could’ve been like 100-150 pages shorter than it actually is? Like I got so bored in the middle of it.
The last 70 pages were WILD though. Those pages define increased my rating of this book.

BE AWARE OF THE TRIGGER WARNINGS THOUGH.

Slightly fucked up and tense, but Lucian and Isadora are FIGHTERS. The twists simply didn’t stop coming omg. Some expected, some definitely NOT. An addictive and atmospheric vibe 🏰🌊🌶️

2.5⭐️ Love the 40% buildup gothic aura here but after that I feel the romance is rather underdeveloped & just a tiny fraction here when it’s marketed as dark romance, more of the things that I really don’t care about. The never ending flashbacks is annoying

I normally dont mind the whole forbidden trope. Like ouuuu i cant have her cuz shes my bros gf or ouuuuu i cant have him cuz i would hurt him.
But what I hate is the ouuu I cant have her cuz shes to young. Like thats the one thing that should immediately make u back up man. Im getting to irked to continue.

‘“You're my curse. Staying away from you is like trying to hold my breath when the tide is rising.” His words dancing around my head, the deep timbre of his voice titillating my senses. “I want to drown in you”’
