I love any books that deals with mob so this was such a great series. It was a page turner and was not able to put it down once I started it.

Those Boys Are Trouble is a collection of interconnected standalones that feature a different couple.  The boys in these stories are trouble but will do anything to not only protect the women that they fall in love with but also protect each other, they are family after all.  The women in these stories are strong, independent, and have their dreams.  Willow Winters does dark mafia romance so well and I enjoyed these stories.

Fast paced wonderful reads

I loved these books. I did feel like the first book started off unrealistically but its fiction and so it makes sense. I loved all 5 books. They were all fast paced and page turners. They were the first books I've read by winter willow but they sure won't be the last that I read by her.

4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is 5 books in one

Book 1: Dirty Dom 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Loved this book, instant great plot, dialogue and spice. The couple came alive on the page and I was sad to see this story end, I almost wish they had a longer arc but the tightness of the story was delightful.

Book 2: His Hostage 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
I think I was riding too high going into this one. The plot, dialogue and spice were great I just didn’t feel the same level of connection to the characters as book 1. It was interesting to get further into this world and the perception of the mafia family from different members.

Book 3: Rough Touch 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Once again didn’t love it as much as the previous to the point that after reading this one I put the book down for a while. The plot and spice was good but it was missing something I can’t place that would bump it higher.

Book 4: Cuffed Kiss 4.25 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
This one provided an interesting perspective with Italian v Russian mafia elements. Also most mafia books I have read shy away from the enforcers showing a vulnerable side to get the happily ever after so it was nice to see.

Book 5: Bad Boy 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This one is the brother to the last MMC who has been sent on a contract to eliminate the FMC and instead buys her to be his 24/7 power exchange slave. I couldn’t get into this book and it felt off to me with her lack of agency and constant threat over her life from the man she relies on to live. Not the ending to this series I was hoping for.

The sex scenes were great but none of the characters had any common sense

This book was actually a collection of stories so I broke them up below. Overall I’d give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 I think. If you’re looking for high spice and don’t mind your situations being very morally questionable/straight up fucked then you’ll probably love it. It’s typical for the genre, but I didn’t come out being wowed by them as a whole or by the author. The slutty stuff was good though…

Dirty Dom ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Rebecca has just lost her husband when she finds out that he has a large debt to the Mafia that she needs to pay off. When delivering the money she meets Dom, the bookie. They have a pretty instant attraction that leaves them both unable to get the other out of their heads.
She soon finds out that getting involved with a member of the Mafia isn’t all just about the multiple orgasms, and her life could be in danger.

It was a quick, spicy read with lots of action. If I had to hear him call her “Doll” or her say the phrase “I’m fine” once more I might have lost it.

His Hostage ⭐️⭐️
Elle decides to take her studying away from her alcoholic and abusive mum for the night and ends up in an Italian restaurant. While sitting in a back booth she meets Vincent (who just happens to be Mafia) and when one thing leads to another she finds herself in the back office. What she sees when she leaves will set her down a pretty messed up path of being drugged, kidnapped and kept hostage.

This story wasn’t really my jam TBH. I definitely couldn’t relate to the FMC but if you’re just wanting a quick, spicy read then it certainly ticked those boxes.

Rough Touch ⭐️⭐️
Kane has pretty much just murdered a whole bunch of people who were involved in his whole family getting murdered and he is trying to get back to work with a new cartel that’s taking over a lot of territory. What he doesn’t realise is that these guys are super big pieces of shit and they have assigned him to start “breaking in/training” women who are going to be sold, slave trade style.
Ava is the daughter of a big, Russian Mob type guy who just had her whole family murdered as part of this new cartels take down. She is kidnapped and abused and now she has been “gifted” to Kane to look after while he sets up the trade with our old buddies, the Valetti’s.

This one raised lots of questions with me in regards to how attachments are formed, especially romantic ones. How can she know what she’s feeling is real? How does he rationalise her behaviour and know it’s coming from a real place and not just a byproduct of her trauma? Maybe I’m thinking about it too deeply haha.

Big CW for sexual slavery, sexual abuse, torture, rape (though not on page, she has a lot of flashbacks and obvious mental health issues because of what she’s been through), suicide/attempted suicide.

Cuffed Kiss ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tonya joined the police force to find out what happened to her sister who was taken as part of the sex trade and turned up dead. She wants revenge on the Mob boss in charge and it just so happens that he was last seen with the Valetti’s. Tommy is under suspicion for everything that went down at the docks in the last book, and is being watched closely by the cops. You know how these things go… one thing leads to another and all of a sudden you’re a cop banging a member of the mafia.

This books had a lot less problematic things in it than some of the other ones so I think I was able to relax a bit more and just enjoy it haha. First time anal out in public up against a car? Sure, why not. That’s what we’re here for.

ACAB

Bad Boy ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Anthony is the hitman for the Valetti family and next on his list is Catherine. Another job family want her killed for spilling Mob secrets to the cops but when Anthony is doing his research on her he gets attached. He’s got a plan to “buy” her out from the contract and offer her the choice, death or be his submissive 24/7.

Wow. What a choice. There’s a lot of Stockholm syndrome vibes going on in the last of these stories. Anthony has a whole series of room set up in his basement for her “training”, one for comfort and one for punishment. I mean, she can just do her work remotely and read all day if she wants then he come in and fucks her real good so… idk, sounds good to me. Who needs outside air and sunshine anyway?

CN for domestic violence, abuse
