This is my second book by Rachel Walter, but my first adult romance. What I love about her writing is that she is an expert at making wonderfully flawed characters.

In Peace of Work we meet Brand, a down on his luck drunk. He’s battling both the bottle and the expectations of his family when he walks out and stumbles into the sleepy town of Peace, Montana where he meets Lani, a beautiful artist. Somehow he manages to woo Lani, but when his drinking gets out of control, he fears he’s lost her forever.

Peace of Work is a bite sized (short) story about love and fighting ones personal demons. I highly recommend this book for readers who appreciate flawed yet charismatic characters. I look forward to reading the rest of the authors backlog.
