I'm a reader of the odd. It's been a while since I read this. F. Paul Wilson's writing style and story sense will definitely keep you reading to the end. If you like supernatural thriller that is.

I liked this book, even though it was predictable. Not one of my favorites and I'm not sure how it fits with the rest of the Adversary Cycle, but it was a neat story.

A mix of medical mystery fantasy with some horror. This book is labeled as book 3 of the Adversary cycle, but can easily be read on its own. In fact, I was kind of left for a loop when reading the book as it really had no ties to either of the previous books. I am interested in how Wilson will end up tying these books together.

The horror aspect takes a while to manifest and is not a gory bloodbath type horror, but more of a psychological thriller. It was a bit slow to get moving and felt a bit dated in some areas but a solid read, with a bit of anticipation in seeing how it will tie in to the larger picture.
