I would have liked this to be about twice as long and really flushed out Hayden's thought process and motivations, which, because the entire book is written from the other characters' perspectives, doesn't happen at all until the last few pages.

While well written, the story didn't engage me enough to hold my interest. I read another partial review here that said there is some kind of hook in the book, but I never got that far. Something tells me it wouldn't have been worth the time.

The reviews I read before I started this book made it sound like a fun, mind bender to listen while I was road tripping. Not so much...there was really only one way the characters could have been intertwined. It seemed like lots of unnecessary forced plot development.

I really wanted to see that jerk Hayden get it in the end, and I know it was implied when the Russian Mob was standing outside his hotel room door, but I wanted to see it, to make sure he died.

I enjoyed this one more at some times than others. Overall a satisfying weave of 3 narratives, although I thought they all could have tied together a little more smoothly.
