This why choose was just what I needed! It's paranormal romance with a little Gothic edge! Gimmie!

She woke up dead, alone, and no one could see her! For five years, she was this way until suddenly a stranger in a bar could see her.

Ohh this story sucked me in, and I enjoy the hell out of it! I instantly downloaded book 2 because I need to know what happens next!

This series has been on my TBR list for a while, and I am so happy to have now read it! I love the storyline and this WhyChoose romance group is wicked and hot! Sara (FMC) has been clinging to her ghost form for years begging to just be seen. So, when she stumbles across a guy that can not only see her but through her…let’s just say things change for her in a big way. There is so much more to her story and how she became a ghost! Loved it! TW/18+ 4.5/stars

let me start by saying that i have high hopes for this series as a whole, despite this book not being anything spectacular. the beginning of this book felt very wattpad-esque, and there are some flaws when it comes to grammar and just the writing in general. i think the author would have been better off writing this as a first person pov novel rather than third person pov. all of that aside, the relationship between sara and the boys had me interested from the start. the plot is a good one, despite maybe not being written in the best way. toward the end, there was a scene that should probably be tagged dub-con and just kinda left an overall bad taste in my mouth, but otherwise the spice lived up to the hype. all of the characters have distinct personalities and are taking steps toward character development, which is not always written well in RH but is done well in this book. MINOR SPOILER - the amnesia trope is also involved here, but not in a redundant “i don’t have any memories poor me” way. so far, this series is not one that stands out to me, but i’m hoping that the next two books are well written and the plot plays out nicely.

So brilliantly written that you are hooked from the first page. You can't help but be jealous of the bond Sara has with her hounds. Highly recommend you give this series a shot!
