I honestly really enjoyed this book (and not just for the smut) the story is one I always wondered if someone would write about and I'm so glad Santana has I would give this a full 5 star rating but I feel there could have been more to this story but still 1000% will be reading again at some point

No... Just no. Just because you can doesn't mean you should and this book definitely should not have been a thing.

The last hundred pages were literally just smut and graphic sex scenes. I get it sometimes you just want smit without plot but damn does the sorry excuse for a plot really have to be so...terrible?

Went in expecting a dark villain-y romance and was met with SA, graphic sexual violence and just terrible writing.

Stars subtracted for every time LotR was mentioned or referenced but unfortunately there aren't even stars. Shame.... Just a shame.

There’s a lot to say about this book.
First of all, It’s important to know that this book is a strong criticism of the bigotry of the American society. It’s The Handmaid’s tale meeting Buffy (not the Vampire part) and Robin Hood.

And there is the identity of all characters. So different but so similar in their pain, their rawness and also in their innocence. Even Sonny, Felix and Corvin (the twins).

The TW are to be taken seriously but they are not as disturbing as I thought (but I read really dark stuffs).

This was a reread for me and it held up just as well as it did the first time!

The world building was very rambling and just felt like trudging through words after you get past the beginning it’s pretty good  also a bit too real if your looking for a book to take you into fantasy

Good, although too preachy for my liking about the state of the world and the evils of capitalism. Also too close to the current state of the US for comfort.

The rest of the book was decent though. I liked the romance and it was certainly a unique storyline. I probably wouldn't re-read it personally, but I don't regret reading it.
