I just didn't enjoy this one at all.
It was so over the top in terms of throwing in the different elements of these "alpha erotic" tales that I couldn't do anything more than shake my head. AND it felt really gross to have Piper so recently traumatized at the beginning of the book and then engaging in some power-dynamic-heavy sex, especially without any conversations around consent and safety.

I thought this was a pretty good book. Maybe a little over-the-top with the sex scenes, but I liked the Seal/CIA/Assassin action. I suspended my belief in reality quite a bit because it's a romance novel that plays up the fantasy, "only in my dreams" factor.

Story kept me intrigued, sex a little over the top

I found the premise of the story interesting and the plot, while far fetched was still entertaining. Not a lot of character development but enough to really like Atlas and find Piper ok. The part of the book after the precipitating event is deftly written and really had me glued to my screen throughout. Nicely done climatic event but was unhappy about the cliffhanger. Will probably read book 2.
