Just about perfect. Great artwork, good dialogue, interesting protagonist, decent sidekick.

formal review to follow: but similar feedback to the first one (except I think I liked this story line a smidge better)

disclaimer: I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Edelweiss

This issue seems to really delve more into character development of those involved and showing the investigative side to Lady Mechanika. I'm stoked to see how the tale unfolds and what we'll find out once we know LM's backstory!

So far this series is nothing if not very, very promising. I love the character and the art style is always flawless. This section of the story really honed in on Lady Mechanika and gave us a bit more insight into who she is as a person, the things she has haunting her, and the quest she is currently on. I think that some of the panels (well, all of the panels) are just so beautifully framed and angled that I feel as though I am watching/reading the series in ultra HD. It's so beautiful and filled with such vivid imagery that I can't help but love it.

The steampunk elements of the world are equally fascinating and in this one we meet some robotic characters, semi-metallic characters and see airships and wacky steam powered designs along the way. It's fun, it's deep, it makes you pause and stare at the pages, and it's throughly beautiful throughout. The only other series which I think compares in terms of style is The Wicked + The Divine, yet the darker tones and colours of this series give each a very unique vibe and I love that!

As always I can't wait to read issue #3 and I gave this a great 4.5*s overall. Highly recommended :)
