A fun "Groundhog Day" fantasy for tweens. My only quibble would be that the two main characters, who were turning 11, seemed way too self-aware and mature. My almost-nine-year-old daughter absolutely LOVED this book. She listened to the audiobook so many times she could quote sections of it.

Sort of like Groundhog Day, one of my favorite movies, but with a little bit of a mystery twist--what is it in their families' past that has caused them to repeat their birthdays?

Clever plotting, but that's about it. Felt like a list of events. But fun, anyway--just not special.

i think i'm developing a girl/author crush on wendy mass, but i was terribly disappointed in this one - pretty much kids-do-groundhogs-day-(the-movie). and without the wit, subtlety and fine execution that i would've liked/expected. it's okay, i suppose, in the sense that i didn't hurl it across the room or anything and the cover is, as you can see, fab. but color me underwhelmed.

I enjoyed this book and I think fourth and fifth graders will love it. All of my students that have read this book have really enjoyed it. Although the plot is completely predictable to the adult reader, my students have really enjoyed figuring out the mystery.

Leo and Amanda have been sharing their birthdays since the first one. After a fight during their 10th birthday they don't speak for a year and end up having seperate birthdays for their eleventh. But, when they wake up the moring after the parties they realize it's their birthday again!! They have to relive the day over and over again until they get it right and become friends again. Kind of like Groundhog Day.

I thought this one was really good and well written. It's a great story of friendship.
