The weakest of the trilogy - not bad, but typical middle-book issues. Reasonable build-up, but the Marty Stew starts to grate.

Audiobook - again, superb narration by Eric Michael Summerer.

Mini-Review:

The narrator is great. The story is interesting but it comes across as choppy & a little too clean. Everything falls into place just the way it needs to in order for ___ to happen. It's a fun story but not one with a lot of substance. I don't feel involved in either the game or real world, the characters or the plot line. The first book was more interesting because it was a different take on LitRPG. This one did not develop the story, characters or plot enough to keep me invested.

This book is about the great hunt for his mount. The whole premise of the idea of the hunt seems unfair but he can work around the system and make money from the tokens as well as people following his journey. This book has a lot more action and it was more driven by progress on a map then other book. This books also included a lot of new and interesting characters. I think that this sequel was as good as the first book. It is a translation so there can be some grammar and punctuation errors that all translation books have but nothing was glaring to me that would make me stop or left me confused by how a sentence was translated.
