A re-read of the book that originally got me into reading again! This was still fun to read and I didn’t totally remember the mystery but my god it was SO cringey. Still giving it 3 stars though cause the you perspective is cool and it used to be my fav

Death, murder, serial killer, abuse

Cassie's mom was presumably killed and so she was sent to live with her father. She's living with his family and working at a dinner when she's approached by somebody from the FBI who wants to offer her a position with an elite secret group called, The Naturals. They want to use her profiling talents to aid in cracking cold cases and so she moves far away to help. Although once she's there she gets tangled in the web of an active serial killer who's striking too close to home.

It was a fast paced read, though it felt very lacking in the character development department. The characters felt empty, with no depth to them. They were too one/ two demential and they didn't have a lot of substance to them. They just seemed there... even though they were important to the story they just seemed to be there and didn't add much meat to the plot, sort of  just helped to move it along and add two and two together. It felt like you couldn't really get connected to them because you didn't really learn all too much about them. For three of the characters to have some what of a love interest/spark between them immediately was odd because it's like they didn't even associate much together, it was as soon as Cassie even got there bam! a love triangle. It was like the author was trying to force something without taking the proper steps to set it up.
