horror that attempted to be informed by psychology but didn't quite get there.

This was a really fantastic novel. Part of me is a little uncomfortable with the continuous portrayal of people with DID as violent or crazy, as this is a major mental health issue that persists in modern society. However, the novel has many supernatural elements and leaves uncertainty as to whether Carly & Kaitlyn actually had DID or were in fact two different people sharing a body. This is why I've left off a star.
Aside from that, however, this novel is well written, with interesting characters and an enjoyable format. The concept of including journal entries, "found footage" transcripts, emails, interviews, etc to put the story together is engaging to read and works really well with the plot. I don't know that I would call it horror, though that's the most obvious genre when you pick up the book and look at it, but it definitely has suspense and "thriller" aspects to keep you reading.

Dang this was a creepy read. So depressing at times that I’m torn between giving it 3 stars vs 4. The ending doesn’t give a clear cut answer to what actually happens but for this book it works and makes sense to end the way it does

I need to read a light hearted cozy mystery now

This is the authors first published novel... I can't wait to read further material from this woman in the future.

This story involves 2 girls, Carly who gets the day and Kaitlyn who gets the night.

It is told by diary entries, newspaper clippings, video recordings etc. Different reading style for me but I really enjoyed it.

This book was really creepy and a lot of times I wanted to fling the book away!!

Absolutely loved it! Really creepy and I was so engrossed in the story.

Fell in love with all of the characters.

This was SO much better than "And the Trees Crept In". The mixed media made sense in this book.
