These books always deliver. They're a little fanfiction-esque at times, but you can always guarantee great protagonists, fun plots and sexy times galore. Not sure how much longer the series can continue, but I thought overall this was a clever way to create another installment.

Based on the reviews I read prior to reading this book, I was not looking forward to the bickering between the two main characters. I had steeled myself for alot of emotional drama and insults, and in this I wasn't disappointed. But previous reviewers seemed to imply that the entire book revolved around this drama, and that is not the case. The tension between Cat and Bones comes from adapting to their developing relationship, and I feel Frost handles this part of the narrative realistically. There's enough to make the story convincing, but she pulls back and reconciles the two characters just before the reader gets annoyed. On the flip side, there is so much more to this story than the spats between Cat and Bones. There are a couple of lovely narrative twists -- two of which left me gasping. I'm looking forward to the next one.

7/1/19:
Still a good time, and still Vlad's biggest fan, but I'm bringing this down to three stars cuz it's lesser than ours predecessors, IMO.

First read:
Four stars because I love Vlad, three for the rest of it! Not my favorite, but still pretty wonderful.
