I thought the book was well done. I love Lucy's comic journaling style. It provides interesting snapshots and insights into her experiences. This book was a tough read because I'm close in age to when she took this trip and it was stressful to imagine how well I'd be able to keep grandparents (one with Alzheimer's) comfortable in this situation!

📚 The gist 📚: In this travelogue, Lucy shares the tough experience she had helping her grandparents on a cruise. It is difficult for her to keep them comfortable, because her grandmother had Alzheimer's.

💕 For readers looking for 💕: travel, young people dealing with difficult life experiences, reflections on the difficulty of contemplating old age, an honest sharing of feelings during a difficult journey

Content warnings for Alzheimer's disease, contemplation of death/dying, descriptions of war time (in selections from her grandpa's war memoir), and incontenance.
