A very insightful and significant book. Kimmerer offers a lot of insights into plants, cultures, and our modern world, helping readers to examine the world they live in every day. Kimmerer has such a profound voice in her writing that is wonderful to read. She has wonderful, emotion-provoking descriptions throughout the novel that makes you truly feel these lessons. Toward the middle of the book, I felt like there was a lag in the flow of information where parts seemed not to fit together as well as in the beginning and end. Fundamentally, this is a well-written and important book that I would highly suggest to others.

Honestly I struggled through this one. I understand why the author narrated so slowly but it made it hard to focus. Honestly some of the essays I could have done without. I was going to rate it 3 stars but the ending was so chilling and has inspired me to read it again as I feel like I didn't glean all of the lessons.

The content of this book was so fascinating and I agree strongly with the author’s philosophy, but I felt this collection of essays suffered from a lack of editing. Many of the essays were too long and repetitive, and others could have been combined. I’d say it’s worth reading to learn from, but it does not feel like a finished piece.

So rich, so beautifully written, so full of challenging but graciously articulated ideas. The audiobook is narrated by the author, whose warm tone and style is delightful, and I'm so glad I heard it. I think I'll get the physical book for future reference since I used my library card for this. There's just too much to think about to hear it only once.

Each chapter held so much good information that I read it slowly and let it all sink in. Loved the combination of science and indigious knowledge.

I thought this book was beautiful, important, and informative. I gained a lot from reading it. That being said, I didn't agree with 100% of the arguments put forward, and I also felt that the book could have been shorter.
