There is something so beautiful in short form story telling. Haunting and unfinished in a way that sticks with you. I can’t stop thinking about this book. The depth of feeling, the incredible illustrations, the loosely outlined but deeply affecting relationships - all of it almost perfection.

A beautiful tale about love and loss - this felt like a brief vignette, a bit unfinished but still satisfying to glimpse. There were many illuminating moments that just felt very true, and the characters were flawed but loveable. Interesting illustration style as well - a very quick read, but one to ponder.

A story about love and growth, and all the tiring, upsetting, unforgivable stuff in between those two. Two women find each other at their absolute lowest and fall in love, but one of them still lingers in a deep depression, while the other is struggling to figure out what family means. In the middle is a fiery and imaginative little girl who wants her aunties back to who they were.

A really sweet story. I love a one-shot with actual depth, no loose ends and a good pace. The art style was very unique. Monochrome colors and beautiful strokes. Story and art complimented each other. (Side Note: May be adding half a star more than I need to because I read it during my own financial and mental funk. These girls were going through it just like me.)
