What a time to be reading this. Get me on a plane! Now!
Whilst it reads like an internet blog site in print (the frustrating quotes on the sides of pages, the jarring profiles of people who were vagabonds etc) - his advice still holds up. Don’t limit your experience, don’t overcomplicate preparation, face your fears and pack lightly still remain true today.

An inspirational book that expertly blends practical advice with the larger philosophy behind vagabond traveling. Don't read it unless you want to be challenged to see the world.

This book was pretty good. It has a ton of resources for methods of long term travel. It's also pretty heavy on the "self-help" style of writing, but he's got a great outlook on life and other cultures. He's experienced a ton of different cultures and he gives you a good idea on how to attack a long term trip in terms of logistics, state of mind and cultural differences. Definitely worth a reading if you are interested in travel at all.
