The series now takes the family across the ocean to Nathaniel's Scottish roots. Here Jennett is introduced who will play a big part in the latest book. Sara Donati did it again.

This was probably my favorite in the WILDERNESS series. At times, I felt like Donati added more plot twists than was necessary. Some times, less is more. Many people complain b/c Elizabeth and Nathaniel are definitely secondary characters. This does not bother me b/c I like to have the children come into the forefront. I can't wait for Hannah to find some happiness...I am sick of her depressing state of existence!
