I don’t think anyone could ever rate this book as less than five stars. It has completely changed so many peoples lives and given such an insight into the life of a survivor of the Holocaust. As well as the life of the descendants that come after. It was very impactful to read again after so long. I highly recommend everyone read this book at least once if not multiple times throughout their life. It really helps to gain perspective and remember what all people are capable of if we are not careful.

Harrowing story of a Jewish man in Europe living through the Second World War.
Art Spiegelman is an excellent story teller and the medium of graphic novel adds so much to the experience.
Highly recommend.

the book worked really well in every way. the artwork, the pacing, the shifts between then and 'now' – it just made it all the more real

read this one in one sitting. the storytelling is brilliant - it's both about the Holocaust and the strained relationships between Art and his father Vladek. some parts of the story, for example
Spoilerhow Vladek burned all of his wife's diaries
were so touching and were always wonderfully told by Spiegelman. a brilliand novel

I appreciated learning about Vladek's experiences, as well as his relationship with Art and Art's time collecting these stories. Important history to know - past and ongoing history. A must read.
