Stunning, unsettling. An interior landscape as complex and endless as the geography depicted in The Golden Cockerel, the insatiable loneliness, the thoughts and worries of honest and corrupt hearts. And while some of the short stories felt more developed than others, in each of these stories, whether fully arced or left as preliminary sketches, one can see the author of Pedro Paramo in this curation.
