I started reading this book years ago and kept putting it down, I finally sat down and actually read it and was instantly hooked. Melissa was able to turn such a classic story into this beautiful book. It was just enough romance and action and kept me wondering where she was going to lead us. I loved it

I liked this but didn't love it. The plotting wasn't great with stuff that doesn't make any sense if you think about it for even half a second (The entire city of several million people are invited to the ball? How could that possibly work?). Still, the setup and characters were initially interesting. I probably won't read the rest of the series though.

Not your typical retelling of a fairy tale I really enjoyed it.

I listened to this as an audiobook. It was so good! I loved it just as much as the first time I read.

I thought this was a sold YA read! It was an interesting concept and kept me entertained enough to finish. I feel like Cinder was very well written and her struggles with her adoptive family created really good tension and heartbreak. However I didn’t feel like Kai was that solid of a character, he felt very bland to me. That in combination with the predictability of it all results in a star deduction.
