More solid political drama from Ta-Nehisi Coates. Sometimes slow and wordy. Not as strong as volume 1, but still worth a look.

I liked Book 2 a lot more than Book 1. There was a better storyline and characters were more fleshed out. Some great action scenes as well!

I also enjoyed the appearances by Misty Night and Luke Cage!

Better than volume 1. But more words would be better. It would be easier to care if I knew more about what was going on. The all black supporting cast of superheroes was used and explained pretty well. Not sure Misty Knight came across just right, but Luke Cage was drawn and written pretty accurately and reasonably. The backup story detracted quite a bit. Though the snippet at the end of Worlds of Wakanda, an initial training bit had possibilities. 3.5 of 5.

Pretty good , I was surprised that everyone from Luke Cage to storm showed up. I liked the afrofuturism feeling of it.

Interesting characters, throughout the story. While I miss some of the finer details from not knowing the world, I am thrilled to see such a gorgeous graphic novel, so well-written, with characters of color throughout.

A little jumpy and disjointed to me, compared to the first one. Not bad, just a little more confusing.
