While this wasn't exactly the book I thought it was going to be, I'm glad that I picked it up. I found a lot of little tidbits to put on my silly little sticky notes, which, really, is all I can ask for in this world.

While I did not agree with all of Susan Cain's logic or conclusions, this whole book is worth it, just for the chapter on the "tyranny of positivity" that is the American obsession with happiness.

This is a book I didn’t realize how much I would need going in. It is one I will come back to again and again. It spoke to my soul.
Susan also has the most soothing voice. The audiobook was absolutely perfect

At times this book was very insightful, but at other times it had what felt to me some very common sense information, but that could be because I am a bittersweet type—Seeing the life and death or the happy mixed with the sad in every situation.
I think this book would be great for people who possibly aren’t bittersweet types, and have a hard time tapping into their creative side. This book gives awesome recommendations on how to move through pain and suffering and how to transform it into creativity
