This is a book that I almost gave up on. After reading a few chapters, I 'just wasn't feeling it', and was going to bring it back to the library. After putting it aside for a few days, I decided to give it one more chance, and so glad I did! Wonderful book with an entertaining cast of characters. I'm not one to tell you what a book is about; there are plenty of other reviewers who do that. Just know that this book starts out slow--possibly because the main character starts out not very likable--but stay with it if you enjoy books with both fun and redeeming characters.

This was a fast read! With a title like One Hundred Names, you know there’s going to be a lot of characters to keep track of, but with the details given into each story I was able to keep them all straight. It’s satisfying to see Kitty grow throughout this story and become more confident in herself and how she interacts with the works around her. The thing that connected the people on the list was cute and a little eh. I really wanted a little confirmation at the end! I have enjoyed everything I’ve read by this author and I am looking forward to selecting a new Cecelia Ahern book soon!

Not my favorite book by this author

This book has an interesting concept . But there was something lacking in its execution , which is a shame because most of the time books by Cecilia are extremely enjoyable and entertaining and that they usually leave me with something . I didn't hate this book and the ending was alright but it's took a long time to get there and there were times where I didn't really know where the store was going . I still absolutely love how the author finds the good in all things and uses the mundane to extraordinary stories , but this one definitely is not on my favorites list . There were a few too many clichés and coincidences for me . But there is something there .

This book was interesting and fun. The beginning is a little slow but it gets better as you go. The journalist is basically given a list of one hundred names and needs to figure out how to make a story out of it and she can't ask the person who created the list. It takes place in Ireland which made it all the more fun; a few things I had to look up were white and black pudding, chipper, Friday week, hurling team and snug! I can see how some people might read it and think that it's very unlikely to actually happen the way it did... but that's what makes it a story and I'm okay with that. There are a few bad words but no sex scenes or violence. I enjoyed it.
