This is one of my all time favorite books. I loved how everything was pieced together, and I loved the story as a whole.

I probably read this 3-4 times a year in middle school. Fun to revisit!

I love reading stories from an unexpected point of view. I think this story gives a fresh perspective on a classic story.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I just wished her mother would care for her some more.

Love myths & legends. This retelling was so perfect, the characterization & world building so robust. The dread & anguish

I started this book when I was a teenager, just after it came out. I had to return it before I was finished, and then I couldn't find it again for a solid twenty years. When I finally did finish, I was satisfied, but also sad, because of the subject matter. However, it is a story I've thought about for twenty years, and it is one that sticks with you.

5th book of The Reading Rush! The challenge was "read a book that matches your birthstone", which was Peridot for me.
I actually read this book often when I was a kid. I fell in love with it long ago. But there is something odd about this book. No matter how many times I read it, I could never remember what it was about. So to remedy this odd magic, I read it again for the reading rush.
I loved it, as expected. I like how this story spans across years and you see the development of Morgan. I am fascinated by this legend of King Arthur and Morgana. I think this book in particular is a great addition to the Arthurian legend because of the radically different perspective of this legend.
My favorite part of this story was Morgan's and Thomas's relationship. I love how they ended because it was realistic in the sense of how if you hold someone too close, they will pull away. Their ending was horrible though. I like how this book didn't sugarcoat anything by showing the painful moments. This story is definitely an anti-hero story. Also Morgan's relationship with magic was interesting. I like how her magic was something she had to accept and not thrust upon her.
This book makes me want to go to Avalon even though it is portrayed as a very dangerous place!
