In a nutshell as the title would suggest, it's a counting book. But what adds to the beauty of the book is the theme. It's very positive with vibrant illustrations. The way it's shown that the blessings continue even after it's start raining, shows through the kitty that we should always have a positive thinking which is an excellent moral for children.
Overall a good read for the kids.

The cover was love at first sight for my 3.5-year-old!

My daughter loves cats and the cover is so colourful, that once she had a look at the cover page, she went absolutely crazy! The message of this book is very positive, but I could do without the rhymes at some parts. It helps with learning numbers, in finding the bright side of every situation and appreciating your life.

Many thanks for NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this Advance Reading Copy.

Kitty Counts Her Blessings is a cute little book about a little kitten that decides to count the happy incidents in her day. She starts with the sun shining and ends with the little boy who cuddles with her after he comes from school.

The book deals with two topics at once. One is numbers. The other is positive thinking- embracing the minor yet happy events of the day and being grateful to have so many things that make us smile and laugh.

The illustrations are cheerful and full of life. I love how cute and cuddly the kitty looks on each page. The narration sort of rhymes at times, but don’t focus on it.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and BooksGoSocial and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Kitty is pussycat who knows that she's blessed and spends her day counting her blessings and being grateful that she's so blessed..

Kitty Counts Her Blessings was a delight and a blessing. Counting has been taught in many ways in households and classrooms. You learn to count fingers, toes, blocks, balls or any object the creative teacher incorporates into his/her theme of the week.

When I was little, the game/song I was taught to play was, 1-2 buckle my shoe, 3-4 shut the door, 5-6 pock up sticks, 7-8 lay them straight, 9-10 a big fat hen! (Poor hen, that was my favorite part too). Funnily enough, as a Christian, I never thought about using blessings. This adds a spiritual aspect to something as simple as learning to count and begins a life lesson pattern that can only grow as they do.

Here's a little rhyme I wrote in response to the book:

This charming, rhyming
counting book
with pictures so bright
they're such a delight

It shows the love between
a cat and her boy
who feel blessed together
and count it all joy.

What a nifty idea
this author did share
a lesson on counting
and gratitude with good cheer

So what pray tell
did I rate this book?
why 5 stars of course
with a can't-you-tell look

I received a copy of the book for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

As the story begins, Kitty has no trouble counting her blessings, from the sun on her nose to the zing of the bees. But when rain threatens to spoil her fun, finding blessings isn't so easy. Then she remembers learning hide-and-seek, and suddenly joys are around every corner-and before long, so is her boy, ready to play and count along with her.

This cheerful, rhyming picture book invites children and the grownups who love them to seek the blessings in their own world.

Review: This was a very cute and colorful children’s book about remembering the blessings you see and get each day. The artwork was adorable, the kitty explained what blessings were well and how to find  them. The book veered a bit on the religious side, but wasn’t obviously religious and would probably be ok for children that parents are wanting to raise without religion.

Verdict: It was sweet!

My daughter is starting to ask questions about God, and my husband and I have been trying to teach her to find happiness around her rather than in having someone buy her something. This book was the perfect combination of both of those things.

My son enjoyed the counting and this book helped spark conversations around what is a blessing, appreciating what you already have, and why we can't get a cat (we both are very allergic). Very cute story!

Thank you to the publishers for providing a free copy via NetGalley!

This was a cute and quick little kids book. I would say around ages 0-4 would probably enjoy it. I read it to a little one and they liked the pictures a lot. The colors were bright and inviting, it taught some counting and most of all that even when things aren’t perfect there are blessings all around.
