I read this book as it was often referenced in Patrick Raden Keefeā€™s Empire of Pain. I did read that book first, so unfortunately, a lot of the details in this book I was already familiar with (I also grew up in Ohio during the time span of the events in this book, and witnessed much of it first hand).

Overall, this is a very informative read on the opioid crisis. If you have struggled with addiction yourself, it might be worth passing on this one. I imagine it would be difficult to read.
