This work is a collection of fourteen short stories, published in 1940 by the Portuguese writer Miguel Torga.
As a fable, throughout Os Bichos, the author focuses on the characters - animals whose names will shape each of the stories, as human beings with the ability to act and react to the environment through the trickeries that characterize Man.

This book surprised me a lot! reading each story trying to figure out what animal it was and then trying to understand the powerful meaning behind it, i really liked it!
