I laughed, I cried, I kicked my feet... I read this book within 24hours. Elliot is my first book crush. I felt the romance was very elegantly done, felt very realistic and not "cheap". However, there were some things that did not click for me. And the elephant in the room:  in the book there is esentially a SA of a male that is just brushed off :-/. Would appreciate to have it discussed/acknowledged.

There was too much sex in the book for me.  There was also a lot of swearing that I had to skip over.  The story is cute and I’m invested in their story.  But, I don’t need that kind of story/drama in my life.

Other than the fact that this authors are complete zionists, I was absolutely adoring like the first 90% of this book. It’s a funny little romance, I was screaming and kicking my feet up into the air but the last 10% that resolved the whole “lost contact for 11 years was absolutely atrocious.
fi First of all the way it’s fucking written because you are introduced to this problem as this huge fucking breakthrough that absolutely wrecked the insane relationship and connection that two people had. I mean, they kinda built this situation in a way you would’ve imagined something so horrendous that the other person did that completely fucked up the relationship. Every year, and there we were given hints that both of these people made a mistakes in the past, and those mistakes led to the downfall of this amazing relationship and at the end of the day none of these two characters made a single Mistake. On Elliott’s side, he was basically raped and everything was described as he made a mistake for being fucking drunk. Excuse me drunk is not the reason or is not justification for you to get raped. And why the fuck are two grown ass women trading these violation as an honest teenager mistake, as it something that happens every time someone gets drunk at a party. That was the fucking dealbreaker for me like I lost it.  it was represented as a cheating situation. This was not fucking cheating and to be honest it really made me feel so fucking uncomfortable and I didn’t even wanted to keep reading, just because I had like 10 fucking pages left I finished the book. But otherwise I really think this issue broke it for me. I don’t know what the fuck.

I think this book was ok. I don't know if I don't feel the hype about because I read it years after everyone or something else.

At the beginning, I didn't like thz double time-line but ended up liking it.

What happened ro Elliot at the party was a rape but it wasn't written like it was.
