I finished this book in about a day and a half. From the looks of it, it didn’t seem like a very long book which to me made me feel like it wouldn’t have too much substance. It didn’t.

Up until page 75 I really fought myself to continue on. Page after page Wilson just whines; about being a bad husband, father and how he thinks his wife doesn’t love him anymore.

If he had the balls to just ask her outright, this book could have been easily 100 pages.

I finished it but to say the least, it’s in no way memorable.

This book may be my favorite Nicholas Sparks books; and being a creature of habit I have attempted to read them all. This story is oddly romantic and proves Sparks has a way of totally sucking a reader in. The whole time I am think how much I hate the main character until the light bulb goes on and I am rooting for him.

Love it!

This book was given to me as a gift at my bridal shower and I think it is a really nice reminder of the effort it takes to keep a marriage thriving over many years. The story is quite sappy and this is definitely a feel good book. I’m opting not to rate it because I think Nicholas Sparks has a pretty different world view from me and it came through in the novel. However, I do think it was a great and thoughtful gift and I enjoyed reading it through that lens.

I don't have anything against Nicholas Sparks. I'm really quite open to his books, but The Wedding has neither the engaging characters or mythical storyline of its predecessor, [b:The Notebook|15931|The Notebook (The Notebook, #1)|Nicholas Sparks|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1385738917s/15931.jpg|1498135]. This story is much simpler -- a son-in-law of the Notebook's Noah and Allie realizes he's spent too much of his marriage working and not loving and he resolves to do better. It's romantic and heartfelt, but The Notebook was better left as a one-generation story. On the bright side, this book shows that you can plan a wedding in about a week, which is good news for engaged me.

Couldn't get through the first half of the book. I even tried listening to it on CD. Still didn't like it.

As a loose continuation of "The Notebook", this was a hit with me. I loved Noah, and was so excited to see him as a guide in this journey of learning how to express the love you feel. The story was a quick read, and the relationships between the characters were great. It was a fun read, and perfect for the hopeless romantic!
