Highland Spy, by Madeline Martin. Well here I am with another one of those fantastic books that I wish could turn into a movie. Let’s start with the cover. The cover is simply divine. Don’t you just love how the blue and yellow/ gold just clashes together, and then poof you have this gorgeous woman on the cover.
By the way this is are main Character Ariana. To better enhance my imagination of Ariana I thought that writer did a wonderful job of describing her with descriptive details. The Samar could be said with Connor too. The writer did such a good job of telling a story that allowed me the reader to get lost in a a book for awhile. I always love it when a writer can do that.
By doing some amazing research and providing facts to the story, everything about this love story seemed so real. The Scottish dialogue was perfect for the characters. I always love it when I read with the Scottish accent. This even more makes me feel connected with the book. The entertainment of hunting for treacherous black guards and spies certainly help the book move quickly for me.
The many surprises that turns up at the end of each chapter had me flipping the page to see what would Connor or Ariana would do next. Can I talk about the other characters? My heart simply went out to Liv. My gosh what a sweetheart. I personally rooted for her during the whole book.
Thank God Ariana and Percy were there for her. Another character who has some issues is Sylvi. personally, I think the woman is unhinged, but that’s what makes the story exciting, right? The love affair between Connor and Ariana, burns like a flame to candle. The are a few moments in the book that fan the flames of pleasurable moments. I simply love this writers style At story telling.
I can not wait for the next book release. I give this book two snaps and a twist. Until next time my fellow readers.. read on! I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Great historical with action, secrets, spies, betrayal, and many strong characters and two loved leads. Medieval is not really my style anymore, but I enjoyed this book during the time of King James and the enmity between Scotland and England.
