In this instalment we get to learn more about Tsubasa. Their past and how it shaped their actions in the previous volume, which I think is great because we really needed some explaining after that ending 😅
Im not a fan though of how Ryo’s outing was excused. Tsubasa explains that they outed Ryo because being transgender is not something to be ashamed about. I agree with this statement, however we can’t just go outing people for one big reason: safety. We don’t know the living situation of that person, if they’re in a safe environment.

There are some serious conversations in this volume about gender and sexual identity and the way we perceive that for famous people. These conversations have been happening a lot online lately too, with the popularity of shows like Heartstopper. People don't owe you those aspects of their lives, and they are allowed to change!
But anyway, I digress. I love Ryo being able to come into his own and I can't wait to see where he goes in the next volume.
