I love the characters in this series and every story shows how they get over their own personal hurdles and the hurdles they have as a couple. The writing was emotional and grasped me as a reader throughout the book. I think the storyline is really well throughout and the books just continue to improve.

What's it all about:
Ian’s been trying to live his life after maturity to the brink. The hunger that lives within him is one that can only be satiated by a woman’s touch, but he can’t seem to ever get enough. As a purebred vampire Ian knows what’s out there but not the extent to it. Paige knows of vampires, but when mingling with Hunter’s she learns what she thinks is enough to kill the vampire stalking her. That is Paige thinks she knows what she needs to about vampires until she collides with Ian and his family. Paige isn’t being held prisoner, but she also isn’t allowed to leave. She must decide if trying to escape is worth the trouble, or if she should just cave to her desirers.

The Best Parts:
Let me start by saying yes I understand that this has a total Stockholm Syndrome vibe written all over it, but I don’t care because the reasoning behind Ian keeping Paige isn’t out of wanting to hold her prisoner, but to keep his family safe, so it works for me! I liked the concept of this novel in the series. This was the first time where it was a human who knew about vampires. It helped with Paige getting over the fact that these people drank blood for a living, but also when she found her mate it didn’t scare her as much as the other girls. The ending of the store takes a turn where the other hadn’t. Paige is the first mated woman to be involved with the troubles that are surrounding the Byrne family. What I really liked and appreciated form this novel was that we learned more about the vampires in this story. That Brian has special powers, that we were introduced to Ronan, and Hunters as well. There is more to the vampires that roam the earth then we realized before. It opens this series to so much more than I could have thought before.

The Worst Parts:
I literally just sat here for five minutes staring at this computer screen trying to figure out the things that I didn’t like about this novel, but I couldn’t think of anything. Do I think that this novel is for everyone? No. That is because out of all of the novels in this series this one is the most sexual. There is no sugar coating on the tension between Ian and Paige, and it is just intensified because they are alone and so close to one another. Very different from the rest of the books. The thing that I could possibly say that I didn’t like was the lack of direction at the end. It is a clean break where every one is happy and there is a clear ending, but yet there will be a 5th book.

Final Thoughts:
Now stating that there will be a 5th book in 2016, I couldn’t be happier, and please if my gut is getting anything from this book that I hope it will be Ronan. Please, please, please! I’m so interesting in his story and who he is and everything that he knows. I love the Byrne family, but I think that their story is over; they would make great sub characters now, but I need something new, and Ronan, damn is he new! Can’t wait!
