Beautifully written, with a finish that will
break your heart.
It’s not quite as polished as ESJM’s later novels but follows the same style of timeline jumps and revealing little details about her characters as you go along. The characters all have trauma to resolve and their actions reflect those traumas to some extent. I felt the setting was vivid, having spent time in many of the places the characters visit.  If you’ve enjoyed other works by this author you’ll probably enjoy this one too.
