I reeeeeally wanted to rate this higher but I think I read it too slowly and lost the plot a bit. I loved the style as always, though! Emily St John Mandel is incredibly skilled, and the whole book has the vibe of a Slaughter Beach, Dog song (that’s the only way I can describe it)
