This book was super cute! It balanced the right amount of fluff and for once, I wasn’t mad about the major conflict at the end. I deeply identified with Ari’s struggles with depression and figuring out how to find love without it holding her back. Russel was just so wonderful although I do wish he would have been a liiiitle more fleshed out. I can
oftentimes be bothered by the kitschy scenarios in contemporary romances but this time the characters were compelling enough to get me past that.

ok so the first 55-60% (i think ish) i was really into and thought the story was cute. THEN they started really describing what russell looked like and i already had an idea in my head and it just did not match and maybe it’s because christmas season just finished but russell was described as a “fat man with glasses and a beard” and for some reason i couldn’t get SANTA out of my head. now you’re probably thinking well just think of someone else, I COULDNT i had my original russell imagined in my head as i was listening and then i heard it and santa popped in and he just wouldn’t leave. so i think if i just read the book and didn’t listen to it i would’ve had maybe a different opinion because the narrators voice when she did the guy was very ho ho ho. so i’m ultimately blaming the narrator. im gonna have to book more time with my therapist this week because santa just did some naughty things to the weather girl.
